We have a team of highly qualified and experienced peripatetic music staff (with DBS checks) who work together with the Head of the Music Department to extend musical education at Churston.

Tuition takes place during the school day with sessions in rotation across the timetable in order to avoid missing the same lesson repeatedly. If your son or daughter would like to receive this additional musical tuition, please complete the attached form and return it to school for the attention of Mrs N Austin.

Fees for tuition currently are approximately £14 per half-hour session and billing and payment arrangements are made directly with the tutor. There is financial assistance available in case of need. Students who qualify for free school meals might wish to use part of their Pupil Premium funding to subsidise lessons and can make that application to the school, please contact Miss C Ballinger in Student Services for more information. Other bursaries might be available via the music hub and from external council-run organisations.
