Paignton And Dartmouth Steam Railway helped students get a feel of 1950's life as they were transported to the station at Churston Ferrers just outside the school. The train brought students from Paignton and Kingswear just like it did 50 years ago.

Past students from across the last 50 years joined with current students to enjoy a day of 1950's style lessons and activities, including a school dinner of liver and onions!

Staff helped the day go with a swing by staging a 'Stars in Your Eyes' competition. Acts spanned the last 5 decades...click on the pictures to see if you can guess who was who tonight Matthew! Mr Mansfield won the event with his tribute to Freddie Mercury.

On Friday afternoon a helicopter brought a time capsule soon to be buried in the new Humanities Resource Centre. The Bishop of Plymouth led the rededication ceremony and Mr N Carter (son of the first Head of Churston) planted a tree.

On the Saturday, past students took time to meet up with old friends as they toured the school and watched various activities.

In the evening many enjoyed a meal and entertainment concluded by a fireworks display.
