12th October We are going back in time to give students
a taste of what school was like in the 1950’s when
it opened. See below for some inspiration on the hair and
dress front!
This
day will be open to all students who started at the school
in the 1950's and ex-staff who would like to relive their
teaching days! Please let the school know if you
can attend.
This
will include 50’s style:-
•
Lessons to include Latin, ballroom dancing etc.
• Assembly.
• School dinner.
2.30pm approx – re-dedication ceremony on the school
field. Weather permitting the whole school should be present.
Details of the day to be finalised.
•
Students will be travelling to and from school on the steam
railway from Paignton, Goodrington and Kingswear as they
did when the school opened. The Steam Trust are providing
trains free of charge.
• Students and teachers will be encouraged to dress
in 50’s style clothing for the day.
• There will be an exhibition of memorabilia through
the decades around the school.
