Badminton Bonanza

On Thursday 1st November, Churston Ferrers Grammar School hosted its first ever Year 3 Badminton Festival. It was heralded a resounding success by Dena Badminton Development Officer, Sue Jarvis as well as teachers from White Rock and Roselands Primary Schools.

The festival was run by Year 10 students under the watchful eye of PE teachers Sarah Hoff and Martin Swanell - the new Head of PE at Churston.

“All 50 Year 10 students did a great job today and it has been a very valuable experience for them, especially in terms of social and interpersonal skills.” Bob Owers – Headteacher.

All the students have now passed their Badminton Young Helper Award and will receive the award at gold level.

The year 10 students have undertaken a Badminton Leaders course here.
